Book with Confidence

Guaranteed Free Re-Booking in the Event of Do Not Travel Alerts

We guarantee to rebook you and your entire traveling party aboard another Sail Around The World voyage to your same destination at no charge to you if the US State Department and/or CDC issues a “Level 4 Do Not Travel Alert” for your destination that prevents you and/or your crew from traveling to your embarkation port on the dates of your voyage.

You can stay up to date on the latest travel advisories for your destination at the US State Department Travel Advisories website.

Voyage dates eligible for Free Re-booking would be re-booked for your same destination within one year of your initial departure date. If further alerts are issued that again prevent travel, the Free Re-booking offer would be extended an additional year.

Protocols for Health and Safety Aboard

The health and safety of our Guests and crew are a top priority. As we return to destinations across the seas we remain committed to operating in a safe and responsible way.

Safety protocols aboard all Sail Around The World voyages continue to require:

  • All vaccine-eligible Guests (based on US eligibility requirements) must provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19, as defined by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), at the time of sailing.
  • All Guests must provide proof of a negative PCR or proctored Rapid Antigen test taken within 2 days of boarding. Guests who have not completed testing within that window will be required to test at the dock prior to boarding, and will be charged for the cost of the test. Guests with a positive test result at the dock will be required to re-test and if there is a second confirmed positive result – all Guests sharing the same stateroom, and other close contacts, will be denied boarding. The cost for each embarkation COVID-19 test is $80 (USD) plus tax to be paid at the time of testing.
Guests Who Have Recently Recovered from COVID-19: According to the CDC, individuals may continue to test positive for 90 days following the onset of infection, even if they have recovered from the illness. If Guests have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 within 11 to 90 days of their sail date, they may be considered to be in the 90 day recovery window. By providing appropriate documentation at the time of boarding, such as a doctor’s letter detailing the date of COVID-19 onset as well as testing dates and results, Guests in the 90 day recovery window would not be required to participate in pre-embarkation testing for COVID-19. (Although Sail Around The World may not require testing for a Guest who is within the 90 day recovery window, the destination country(ies) may still require testing as a pre-requisite for entry. It is the responsibility of each Guest to check all their destinations’ entry protocols prior to travel to ensure understanding of entry requirements.)

Travel Tip

Build Peace of Mind by Protecting Your Vacation Investment with Travel Insurance

We know that in today’s world travel plans can change without notice. That’s why Travel Insurance for Health and Trip Cancellation is important to consider during travel planning. With a policy that covers travel expenses, your Sail Around The World booking fees can be reimbursed to you should unforeseen circumstances prevent you, or members of your traveling party, from joining the voyage.

Sail Around The World does not require proof of travel insurance as a pre-requisite for boarding, however, some destinations may still require travel insurance and/or travel medical insurance as a prerequisite for entry into their country. It is the responsibility of each Guest to verify updated travel and entry protocols to determine what type of travel insurance, if any, is required for their destination.

Note that Travel Insurance and Travel Medical Insurance are different types of coverages. Depending upon the provider, these two coverages can be combined into one policy.

Because travel insurance may be optional based on destination, and each Guest may opt-in or out of different types of coverages, the cost of coverage is not included in the Voyage Fare.

For convenience, here are a number of travel insurance providers for review, but there are many others.* Check with your insurance agent for details.
